Who we are
About PT-141 Shop
A friendly reading desk for the PT-141 research — independent, plain-spoken, and honest about the limits.
What PT-141 Shop is
PT-141 Shop is an independent editorial project that publishes plain-English summaries of the peer-reviewed research literature on PT-141 (bremelanotide). We are not a clinic. We do not employ clinicians and we do not provide medical advice. We do not manufacture, sell, or distribute any product. Our work is editorial commentary on publicly available science.
We built this because PT-141 is an easily-stigmatized subject buried under marketing on one side and clinical coldness on the other. The goal is a third option: a warm, careful walk through what the studies actually found, written so a curious non-scientist can follow it without losing the real detail.
About the name
Yes, the word "shop" is in our domain — and no, this isn't a store. We never list a price, a vendor, or a place to buy anything. "Shop" here is just the friendly, browse-and-learn feeling of the site: a place to look around the research at your own pace. If you came looking to purchase something, this isn't that; it's a reading desk.
We keep that promise in how we write. We report doses only as trial and label findings, we never recommend a dose for any individual, and we draw a hard line between cited clinical evidence and the unverified things people report online.
How we handle the evidence
Every quantitative clinical claim on this site is tied to a numbered source you can check on our references page — the RECONNECT Phase 3 trials, the FDA prescribing information, the human fMRI study, and more. When the evidence is strong, we say so plainly. When it's modest — as the HSDD efficacy data are — we say that too, and we name the published critics rather than hide them.
We also keep a clearly-labeled "field reports" layer fully separate from the cited science, marked as unverified community experience and attributed to no journal. The point throughout is honesty over hype: what's been shown, how well, and where the human data run out.
What we don't do
We don't diagnose, treat, or advise. We don't sell, source, or recommend products. We don't claim a clinic, a clinical team, or a physical location, and there is no real-person persona behind the byline — this is editorial work, not a practice. Nothing here is a substitute for a conversation with a qualified healthcare professional who knows your situation.
What we do is read the literature carefully and explain it kindly. That's the whole job.
